A Yorkshire roofing firm along with its Director has been prosecuted after a worker fell to his death though a fragile roof-light. A 52 year old self-employed brick-layer, suffered fatal head injuries as a result of the fall whilst he was working to refurbish the flat roof of a School in Knaresborough. A resent employment tribunal has found that an NHS worker was unfairly dismissed after a colleague reported him for smelling of alcohol whilst at work, without evidence to show that he was unfit for work.  The healthcare assistant was investigated following a report that he had come to work smelling of alcohol. Alton Towers to face a soaring multimillion-pound legal bill after admitting responsibility for the rollercoaster crash that left five people with serious injuries. Leah Washington from Barnsley in South Yorkshire was on the front row of the Smiler ride at Alton Towers when crashed into an empty carriage in front of it.
